Defeating Chelsea, Arsenal returned to the top

The Gunners once again won at Stamford Bridge to regain the top of the table convincingly.

The match between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday night is the focus of this week's Super Sunday.

The Gunners have had a couple of woes over the past few days, although they've won again, but the Blues will be another important test for them. Over the years, although often underestimated, the Gunners 188BET have a good head-to-head record against the blue team, having won their last two matches at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have gotten off to a pretty good start under Graham Potter but a sloppy loss to Brighton has left them in the dark. Despite having the home field advantage and great motivation to win, the Blues are underrated here.

The first half went as planned when Arsenal showed dominance. They pressed forward from the start, held the ball more and shot more.

In the 4th minute, Bukayo Saka was shoved by Marc Cucurella in an attempt to enter the penalty area, Arsenal were awarded a free kick but no remarkable situation appeared. Five minutes later, Chelsea responded when Raheem Sterling made a superb pass to Kai Havertz, who dribbled before his cross was cut to lead to a throw-in.

In the 20th minute, Gabriel Jesus had a good ball when he slipped past the Blues defense but was saved by Thiago Silva. And less than 10 minutes later, the Brazilian striker was once again disappointing as he stood in the perfect position, just opposite the keeper but headed incorrectly, missing a delicious opportunity.

Near the end of the half, Cucurella again put Saka on the field, but the referee deemed it a valid save and did not intervene. This decision infuriated Mikel Arteta, but then Saka decided to claim justice himself, actively fouling the Chelsea defender, he was immediately shown a yellow card.

The match was quickly heated up again after the break. 50 minutes, Cesar Azpilicueta received a yellow card for a tackle on Gabriel Martinelli. Then, it was Jesus' turn to have a skillful cross that made Trevoh Chalobah immediately foul to prevent the dangerous situation.

In the 62nd minute, Edouard Mendy made a good save before the visitors' attack, but the opener still came to the Gunners 1 minute later. From a corner on the right, Saka drew a delicate curve for Gabriel Magalhaes to finish from close range. After that, the army of red and white shirts showed even more impressive performance in the first half, constantly putting pressure on the Blues' defense.

After 80 minutes, Cucurella let the ball touch his hand while standing at the goal line. The referee consulted VAR and determined he was outside the box, no penalty for Arsenal. But Chelsea didn't do much for the rest of the time either. 1-0 is the final result of the match. The Gunners rose to reclaim the top spot and once again proved their title-winning ability.
